Tankus The Henge return to Looe Live!
Tankus The Henge is the second band confirmed for Looe Live! 2020.
Tankus’ funk fuelled repertoire impressed with a knock-out performance at the festival last year – and now they’re back, by popular demand, performing tracks from their most recent album I Crave Affection Baby, But Not When I Drive.
Performing on the mainstage, on Friday (September 25th), they’re set to bring their famously hair-raising show – which is likened to psychedelic, rock n roll octopus…only with four more legs!
Their music is wildly eclectic, ranging from New Orleans inspired swing to heavy rock riffs, and since their beginnings in the ratty alleyways of London’s Soho, has evolved into a wild groove machine.
Inspired by 60s bands and artists such as Tom Waits, Blur, Randy Newman and Queens of the Stone Age – with lyrics influenced by 20th Century American Literature, specifically the Beat Generation and Gonzo journalism – Tankus the Henge defy categorisation.
They’ve built a reputation on unforgettable song-writing, spectacular live performances and relentless hard work – playing hundreds of shows across Europe and the UK.
Tankus The Henge join legendary rock band Reef on the 2020 festival line-up – with further artists announcements to follow in the coming weeks.
Weekend tickets are available now from £55 (super early bird rate available for a limited time only), £30 for youths (under 16) and under 6s go free.
